Beach Family / SVA

"Beach Family" is a bus and subway poster commissioned by the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I took the opportunity to explore a different side of my work. I wanted to break away from the minimalist styl — singular image floating on a white page, to something that was "maximalist" and layered with lots of readings to it. Also considering that most posters in NYC often get graffiti'd over, I wante to make a pre-graffiti'd poster. Created just post 9/11, this my own love letter to New York. It is a "Where's Waldo" with everything that I loved about my home
